Kids Church Is Back!

Hey Families!

Starting October 18th, we will be hosting Kids Church for kids in Kindergarten through 5th grade during the service.  We are also now offering Nursery childcare and a Preschool class!

There are several new things we'll be trying out as we resume in-person Kids Church.

10:30 AM Service Time

In addition to our 9 AM service time, we will be trying out a 10:30 AM service time to accommodate the additional people that will be coming back to church.  Kids Church will only be held during this 10:30 AM time.  You are still welcome to come to the earlier service with your kids if you prefer, but Kids Church and Preschool/Nursery classes will only be held during the 10:30 service.

Family Service on the first Sunday of the month

On the first Sunday of each month, there will be no Kids Church and we'll be hosting a family service in the sanctuary instead (both services).  The family service will be designed to be more engaging for kids, and families will take communion together.  Again, there will be no Kids Church on the first Sunday of the month.

Full Service Kids Church

Check-in for Kids Church will begin before the service starts and parents will be invited to bring their kids to the programming before the service.  Please enter through the daycare entrance (the one with an awning and drive-through) to check in your kids.  Kids will have an age-appropriate worship time with songs they can sing along to and understand.  Then as usual, they will have lessons and activities to teach them biblical principles.  This programming will span the entire service and kids can be picked up after church.

Masks and Social Distancing for Kids

Kids Church for K through 5th grade will be held in our Fellowship Hall (the Gym), and students will be spaced in a socially distanced way for most lesson activities and worship.  Students will wear masks when moving around with each other.  Just as at school, when a child is seated and distanced from others, they may remove their mask.  Teachers will wear masks when mingling with the kids, but may remove them when up-front and distanced from students.

Preschool and Nursery kids will not wear masks, but teachers/caregivers will mask-up for the entire time while serving your kids.  All teachers will be screened with the typical symptom and exposure questions before serving that day.

We look forward to seeing your kids again and getting to be a part of their lives.  Please contact Robin or myself with any questions you have.  Thanks for adapting with us as we try out this new format.  Please pray for us as we implement this!
