servanthood at central.

Servanthood is a Core Value for us at Central.  Jesus Christ set the example for us: He came to serve others, not to be served (Mark 10:45, John 13:15).  As we allow the Holy Spirit to make us more like Jesus, we humble ourselves and eagerly serve others (Philippians 2:5-8; 1 Peter 5:2, 8).  Below, take a look at the opportunities we're taking to serve.  There's room for you here to join in the great calling of God on your life!

children's ministry

As a church we partner with families to model loving Christian relationships. We provide exciting opportunities for growth and learning for children of all ages. Members with a heart for children lovingly lead our Children's Church and Connections Classes on Sunday mornings as well as our midweek program on Wednesday nights. For more information, contact our Children's Ministry Coordinator, Lisa Wieneke.

c3y student ministry

Sunday Mornings

Those serving C3Y on Sundays get time to begin and build relationships with students, introduce them to God's Word in studying the Bible directly, and spur students to pursue meaningful discipleship in following Christ outside of our worship services.

C3Y at the Youth House

Our groups for middle school men, middle school ladies, and high school students all meet at the Youth House on Wednesdays from 6-8.  Leaders and volunteers take time to encourage students, share God's Word with them, worship Him in song, and lead them in great events throughout the year. We commit to building a community of students and leaders that pursues gospel-centered, intentional, authentic, and lasting Christian lives.

worship ministries

Sunday morning is the first time most people get connected at Central.  We welcome volunteers to greet attendees, to befriend our guests and offer them help, to set up and serve in our Fellowship Cafe, and to serve in our music ministries.

connection groups

We make increasingly personal strides with God in our walk of faith through Connections Groups.  We are regularly seeking people with love for God and love for people to lead these groups.

community ministries

Every church has a unique ministry obligation to its own community.  We partner with several ministries in Seymour to show the mercy of God and to proclaim His good news to others.  Different ministry teams from our church serve regularly at The Alley soup kitchen, The Clothing Center, the Community Diner, and Habitat for Humanity.  We also regularly support Community Provisions, Anchor House, and the Pregnancy Care Center.  You don't have to get on a bus or a plane to serve the Lord!  Get connected and click the link below!

God has called us to go and make disciples of all nations. We have unique opportunities to serve the community of Seymour, and we have unique partnerships with missionaries and missions organizations in Haiti, Tanzania, and among Native Americans in the Southwest.  If you have a heart for missions, or if you have been curious to go on a trip and just want to know more, follow up with our Missions Committee with the link below.
